Creativity is Dot Cannon’s passion.
As a total arts person, she always enjoyed storytelling, making things and sharing fun facts.
Science, technology, engineering and math were never in the equation.
UNTIL–she fell in love with radio broadcasting. And suddenly, physics, technology and math fell into place as being relevant in her career–and life.
Engineering? Dot has been doing that since she was a (smaller) kid. And if you make or design anything, at all, you’re doing it too. Because both art and science involve problem-solving.
After decades in Los Angeles-area talk radio, both on-air and behind the scenes, Dot began doing “radio without the radio station”–podcasting!
And in the course of creating content for her interview podcast, Over Coffee®, Dot was introduced to extended reality. VR, AR and XR literally opened up new worlds.
Storytelling, making things and sharing information can be the core of a virtual-reality world. As Dot continues her journey as a creative storyteller, she’s looking forward to taking fellow creatives through the intersection of art and science.
